All of the leather collars are designed to be a custom fit. Measuring is different than for most collars, so please follow instructions carefully, and of course contact me at Audrey@Dogsbejeweled.com if you have any questions.
How to measure for these collars: (Only for side release buckle - See below for strap buckle).
Measure the dog's neck with a tape measure very tightly, especially for long haired or fluffy dogs, and insert a finger if you like a looser fit, none if you don't. This is the measurement I need. Don't worry this won't be too tight. The collar will be made so that the collar's inside diameter measurement, when the collar is closed, is exactly the neck measurement you give me. This is a custom fit. Please do not measure your dog's current collar! This measurement will not be accurate.
**Please note - the measurement of a collar unbuckled lying flat, is much different than the measurement of the inside of a closed collar.**
Larger sizes and styles with two screws on each side may be adjusted 1 1/2 - 2" larger.
Small styles with one screw on each side are not adjustable. (Standard strap buckles are measured flat center buckle to center hole. Measure a current collar center buckle to hole used.)
